freelancing web design top tips

I have been stressful to figure out all what I need to be a successful freelance web designer in London starting from knowing the basics to building huge websites.

afterwards me doing this job for the last 3 years I would like to give you my experience with it.

I’ve listed the top important advices you may need to stick with all the time.

1- find yourself a really good domain and hosting company . Do not go to the low-priced one and think it is the best .

2-  Design a business card or some  tiny leaflets and keep them with you whenever you go, do the marking job your self and spreed the word. Advertise for yourself in your local area.

3- If you are working from home, make sure you have your own space such as desk, table, bookshelf, make this part of your room your private part, and make it look like a proper place to work, believe me, the look of your desk gives you a lot of motivation.

4-  You should Have all the required software installed on your computer for example:  Adobe Photoshop, Html & CSS editors, FTP client software.

5- Subscribe to some magazines to keep up to date with the latest news in this field , .NET magazine or Web Designer Magazine could be the best.

6- Have an account with some stock photos websites to find any photo you may need easily .

7- Have your Portfolio website running and keep updating it with your latest jobs or even some personal art work, show everyone who your clients are. Do not leave to add your CV to your website as well, Some people like to read your CV before hiring you.

8-  Organize yourself, put a time table for your daily job , do not waste your time making something useless and never to keep the important things for later.

At the end you are building your name by each single job you do, so take care of it.
